Drobo FS “Internal Problem”

Once again the hugely unreliable DroboFS I’m using as a backup destination in one of our offices has suddenly lost all it’s data with no warning.

It’s now reporting “Internal Problem, please contact Drobo support”

After a little googling apparently you can run some disk maintenance by pressing CTRL > SHIFT > M (while Drobo Dashboard is open). This can take between 1 hour and 1 day to run.

iTunes failed to start Bonjour service

It’s annoying. “bonjour service failed to start” I’ve had this a few times in the last few months on Windows 7.

There seem to be loads of people with this problem on blogs spouting incorrect solutions involving registry permissions, UAC and other non working fixes.

Try :

1. download iTunes, save it to your computer. Ideally to your desktop
2. Open a command line and navigate to where you saved the file (using ‘cd Desktop’)
3. Run itunessetup.exe NO_BONJOUR=1
or itunes64setup.exe NO_BONJOUR=1 (dependant on which one you have)

4. there is no step 4
